Saw two of my dearest friends last night at Trattorian in Stockholm. Lovely dinner with lovely friends, had so much fun catching up with my girls. I haven't seen Karin (left) in maybe 7 years and Emma (right) in 2 years. It was just the same, I love it when it's just the same. I love it when time doesn't matter. Cheers to good old friends!

Swedish Summer

Saturday in Stockholm. One of the first things I wanted to take my daughter to is Skansen.
Skansen is an open air museum with Nordic animals, historic buildings and a taste of how Sweden was back in the day. I absolutely love walking around up there, it reminds me of childhood. While I'm here I absolutely plan to indulge in Swedish food classics, first box to tick, herring for lunch! We had an amazing day, summer in Stockholm is special.

We're finally here. I have not been back to Stockholm in 2 years, time flies!
My girl did phenomenal on the flight, except she threw up during the landing, got a little motion sickness.
Now I've been through the public puking in a restaurant and in an airplane with my child, equally disgusting, horrible and stressful to deal with. Happy to be on Swedish ground for a while.

Fall Trend- The Smoking Slipper

I like this type of shoe. You always look dressed yet it's casual and comfortable. I have never been much of a "heel" girl on a day to day basis so I'm in luck this season. Walton's Fancy and Staple

Breakfast at Walton's Fancy & Staple owned by Sandra Bullock. This little Southern cafe style deli is super cute and has delicious treats for breakfast and lunch. While you're there buy some fresh flowers and candles to bring home.
There is even a little 'parking' spot for the dogs. 609 West Sixth Street.

With that said, it refers to a song about a person who can't get his coconut open, used to love the song as a kid...

Josephine discovered pistachios this evening as I had some, it made me think of the song mentioned above as she was trying to get the pistachio shell of the nut. 

Half the fun once she got a hold of the pistachio bag was to make a mess, of course! 

Afterwards she got to try one and out came -More! 

She's tried to master the art of opening a pistachio for a long time...still watching her trying :) 

Very patient I must say.

We saw Coldplay at the American Airlines Center in Dallas last night.
They put on an amazing performance, wow what a show, really impressed! Go see it if you have the opportunity.

Heading back to Austin this afternoon but chilling out with my little girl at the pool first :)

Bean @ The House of Blues

We're in Big D for the weekend. All sorts of fun awaits. Started off by seeing Bean perform at the House of Blues last night, it was really fun seeing her live for the first time.

Ended up for drinks at Private Social to end the night. They have reversed happy hour (both on drinks & bar food) meaning it starts late. Quite the new trend applied by more and more restaurants. I had never heard of that before and think it's a great idea for all night owls :)
