Zen
After a few days of chaos I feel a little more zen. To make along story short. We missed our flight from Austin Friday afternoon...you're standing at the airport with your family, packed bags and ready to leave and then the check in lady says your flight already left...??? Heartbreaking!
But, we're here now and this is the wonderful view from our office. Lots of kisses from a sunny Monaco!

Tartines - Perfect with white wine or Champagne
Fig, Gorgonzola and Honey Tartines
Makes 8 tartines
Ingredients:
8 slices of baguette
1/2 cup (4 oz) crumbled gorgonzola
8 figs, halved
1 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
2 1/2 tablespoons honey
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Turn the oven to the broiler setting or 400F
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Place the slices of bread in the pan. Top each slice with about a tablespoon of gogonzola. Top with two fig halves. Sprinkle a little thyme. Repeat for the remaining tartines. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake or broil until the cheese starts to melt. Remove from the oven and drizzle each tartine with about a teaspoon of honey. Serve at room temperature.

Snapshot of the Day
Oh la la...what a weekend! So many parties and activities, I feel...let's say, a little bit weak right now.
I'm dying for some well needed sleep! Can't wait to get horizontal.
Our friends hosted some fabulous pool parties this weekend, really lovely.
All good things come to an end, and it's time to re-group. We have a big week a head. Natti natti.

TRIO
Last night we had a great evening with our friends Robert and Courtney.
We tried the Four Seasons restaurant Trio. We dined al fresco in their gardens, so nice.
Try it now before it gets too hot outside, we were saved by a very comfortable breeze last night.

We all know how Americans love love love to have a million photos of their family ALL a around the house, very well documented walls over here ;)
Even though I don't like to have photos all over the house, I do love the fact that Josie has been photographed by her daycare twice a year since she was 9 months old! Once less thing to think about.
